The work Afternoon Amidst The Pines by Benjamin Foster was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,163.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Foster - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Country Road, which sold at auction in February 2002 for USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,785.63).
