Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Britishthe Meet by Benjamin Cam Norton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 6,746.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Benjamin Cam Norton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work The polo pony 'Jessie' with stick and ball was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,322.90).

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Britishthe Meet von Benjamin Cam Norton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 6.746,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Cam Norton konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2008 die Arbeit The polo pony 'Jessie' with stick and ball für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.322,90) versteigert.
