In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman by Benjamin Arlaud. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,304.43), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Arlaud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identifed As Poncette De La Vivarais, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,215.18).

Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman von Benjamin Arlaud zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.304,43) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Arlaud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identifed As Poncette De La Vivarais beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.215,18) versteigert wurde.
