Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, circa 1700 by Benjamin Arlaud was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,407.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Arlaud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identifed As Poncette De La Vivarais, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,215.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, circa 1700 von Benjamin Arlaud kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.407,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Arlaud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identifed As Poncette De La Vivarais beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.215,18) versteigert wurde.
