In October 2015 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Behjat Sadr. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,961.24), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Behjat Sadr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Behjat Sadr zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.961,24) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10) versteigert wurde.
