Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Behjat Sadr. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,444.91), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Behjat Sadr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Behjat Sadr zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.444,91) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10) versteigert wurde.
