Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East, which included the work Iranianuntitled by Behjat Sadr. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,673.14). Admittedly, works by Behjat Sadr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iranianuntitled von Behjat Sadr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.673,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10).
