Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Behjat Sadr could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art/ Middle East auction, the work Iranianuntitled changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,962.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Behjat Sadr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Behjat Sadr konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East wechselte die Arbeit Iranianuntitled für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.962,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10).
