In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Iranian untitled by Behjat Sadr. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,114.58), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Behjat Sadr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iranian untitled von Behjat Sadr zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.114,58) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10).
