Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iranian untitled by Behjat Sadr was sold in the 20th Century Art/ Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,625.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Behjat Sadr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Iranian untitled von Behjat Sadr wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.625,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10) versteigert wurde.
