Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iranian la Porte Fermé (Closed Door) by Behjat Sadr was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in April 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,375.00 (€ 24,767.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Behjat Sadr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 96,250.00 (€ 111,643.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Iranian la Porte Fermé (Closed Door) von Behjat Sadr wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.375,00 (€ 24.767,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Behjat Sadr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.250,00 (€ 111.643,10).
