Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Los Papagayos by Beatriz González. The price achieved of USD 11,950.00 (€ 9,012.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatriz González achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decoración de interiores in May last year with an auction result of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Los Papagayos von Beatriz González zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 9.012,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatriz González erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decoración de interiores im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 164.383,56).
