Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Reina Isabel Se Pasea Por El Puente de Boyala by Beatriz González was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 13,200.00 (€ 10,285.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatriz González achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decoración de interiores in May last year with an auction result of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).

Die Arbeit La Reina Isabel Se Pasea Por El Puente de Boyala von Beatriz González kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 10.285,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatriz González erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decoración de interiores im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 164.383,56).
