This artwork by Baya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work without title sold for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,789.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Baya erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.789,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Baya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51) versteigert wurde.
