Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work West Of Ireland Harbour by Basil Rakoczi. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,360.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Basil Rakoczi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work Fille Á L'Oiseau Exotique was auctioned for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,439.07).

Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit West Of Ireland Harbour von Basil Rakoczi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.360,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
