This artwork by Barry Reigate achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2019. In the Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction, the work Voracious Impotent Penis sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,057.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barry Reigate; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Real Special Very Painting sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,973.15).
