A top price for Barry Reigate
When the work Real Special Very Painting by Barry Reigate was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 6,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,973.15). This high result makes Real Special Very Painting the most expensive artwork by Barry Reigate that we have observed at auctions so far.
