The work Winding Path by Barker Fairley was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. It achieved a price of CAD 10,800.00 (€ 8,439.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barker Fairley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Yellow Trees sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of CAD 15,600.00 (€ 11,200.83).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CAD 10.800,00 (€ 8.439,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Barker Fairley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Yellow Trees im Mai 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von CAD 15.600,00 (€ 11.200,83).
