The work River landscape in Zeeland with a ruined tower by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was sold in the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,949.66), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.

Die Arbeit River landscape in Zeeland with a ruined tower von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.949,66) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
