Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A panoramic landscape with a view on the Middle-Rhine with a castle by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was sold in the Made in Holland auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October last year. The price achieved of EUR 50,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.

Die Arbeit A panoramic landscape with a view on the Middle-Rhine with a castle von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in Holland bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 50.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
