This artwork by Bao Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Chinese Paintingsonline only auction, the work Calligraphy In Regular Script sold for HKD 38,125.00 (€ 4,339.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bao Xi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,899.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Xi erzielte im April 2019 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintingsonline only wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script für HKD 38.125,00 (€ 4.339,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bao Xi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.899,75) versteigert wurde.
