A top price for Bao Xi
This artwork by Bao Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,899.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu the most expensive artwork by Bao Xi that we have observed at auctions so far.
