Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Calligraphy in Clerical Script by Bao Xi. The price achieved of HKD 6,375.00 (€ 722.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,899.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Bao Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 6.375,00 (€ 722,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.899,75).
