This artwork by Bao Shaoyou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Viewing the Moon Pavilion/Calligraphy in Running Script sold for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,499.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bao Shaoyou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Shaoyou erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Viewing the Moon Pavilion/Calligraphy in Running Script für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.499,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bao Shaoyou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00).
