Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Concubine In The Palace by Bao Shaoyou. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 6,977.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bao Shaoyou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
