Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiresias Non Sapeva Tanto Del Futuro (Tiresias Didn'T Know Much About The Future) by Bahman Mohasses was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The price achieved of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,380.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bahman Mohasses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Minotauro sulla riva del mare in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,007,200.00 (€ 1,183,200.55).
