In April 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Iranianminotauro Seduto (Sitting Minotaur) by Bahman Mohasses. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,708.51), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bahman Mohasses achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Minotauro sulla riva del mare in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,007,200.00 (€ 1,183,200.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iranianminotauro Seduto (Sitting Minotaur) von Bahman Mohasses zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.708,51) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bahman Mohasses erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Minotauro sulla riva del mare im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.007.200,00 (€ 1.183.200,55).
