In April 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Image On Imagination by Bahman Jalali. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,423.43), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bahman Jalali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Image on Imagination, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,823.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Image On Imagination von Bahman Jalali zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.423,43) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bahman Jalali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Image on Imagination beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.823,61) versteigert wurde.
