In October 2014 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art, which included the work I Accuse... by Bahman Dadkhah. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,961.69), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bahman Dadkhah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (from the Passage series), which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,737.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Accuse... von Bahman Dadkhah zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.961,69) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bahman Dadkhah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (from the Passage series) beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.737,71) versteigert wurde.
