Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lying In State And Ascension Of Saint Anthonius by Fra Bartolommeo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2011. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,941.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fra Bartolommeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 12,962,500.00 (€ 9,542,476.44).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.941,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fra Bartolommeo erzielen.
