Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2017 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction Boundless: Dubai, which included the work Lebanese concrete Beirut Barrier by Ayman Baalbaki. The auction ended at the price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,416.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ayman Baalbaki have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion Boundless: Dubai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lebanese concrete Beirut Barrier von Ayman Baalbaki zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.416,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ayman Baalbaki auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12).
