Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Al-Mulatham A by Ayman Baalbaki was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,632.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayman Baalbaki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Al-Mulatham A von Ayman Baalbaki kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.632,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ayman Baalbaki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12) versteigert wurde.
