This artwork by Ayman Baalbaki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I auction, the work Al Moulatham sold for GBP 201,600.00 (€ 233,608.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ayman Baalbaki; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ayman Baalbaki erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I wurde die Arbeit Al Moulatham für GBP 201.600,00 (€ 233.608,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ayman Baalbaki; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12).
