A top price for Axel Herman Haig - as previously expected
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork by Axel Herman Haig. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,892.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork is the most expensive artwork by Axel Herman Haig that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork von Axel Herman Haig zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.892,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork das teuerste Kunstwerk von Axel Herman Haig, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
