Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Large Collection Of Sketchbooks by Axel Herman Haig was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 4,988.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Axel Herman Haig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,892.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Large Collection Of Sketchbooks von Axel Herman Haig kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 4.988,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Axel Herman Haig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit St Fin Barre'S Cathedral, Cork beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.892,93) versteigert wurde.
