This artwork by Avigdor Stematsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2011. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,307.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Avigdor Stematsky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Abstract Composition sold at auction in December 2017 with the realized price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,954.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Avigdor Stematsky erzielte im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.307,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Avigdor Stematsky; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Abstract Composition im Dezember 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.954,25).
