Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by Avigdor Stematsky was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,322.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Avigdor Stematsky have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2017 the work Abstract Composition was auctioned for USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,954.25).
