It achieved a price of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,076.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Austin Osman Spare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude, Charlotte Newman in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).

Die Arbeit Red Roofs, Firenze von Austin Osman Spare wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.076,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Austin Osman Spare erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude, Charlotte Newman im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
