Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art 2, which included the work Sans Titre, 1928 by Augustin Lesage. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,650.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Lesage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, 1933 in February last year with an auction result of USD 156,250.00 (€ 139,210.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1928 von Augustin Lesage zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.650,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Lesage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, 1933 im Februar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.250,00 (€ 139.210,62).
