Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Augustin Lesage was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 37,800.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustin Lesage - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1933, which sold at auction in February last year for USD 156,250.00 (€ 139,210.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Augustin Lesage kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 37.800,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Augustin Lesage mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1933 beobachtet, die im Februar letzten Jahres für USD 156.250,00 (€ 139.210,62) versteigert wurde.
