In the Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection auction, the work Caribs of St Vincent sold for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 86,994.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustin Brunias - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Free Women Of Dominica Bathing In A Stream; Free Women Of Dominica; A Young Couple And Child Promenading, Dominica; Flower Girls Of Dominica; Free Women Of Dominica With Child; And A Native Family Of St. Vincent, which sold at auction in June last year for USD 214,200.00 (€ 204,604.07).
