Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by August Löhr could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Landscape With The Iztaccíhuatl In The Background changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,633.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by August Löhr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Valle De México in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 123,960.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von August Löhr konnte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape With The Iztaccíhuatl In The Background für USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.633,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von August Löhr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Valle De México im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 123.960,58).
