A top price for August Löhr
In May 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work El Valle De México by August Löhr. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 161,000.00 (€ 123,960.58). With this result, El Valle De México is even the most expensive work of art by August Löhr that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit El Valle De México von August Löhr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 161.000,00 (€ 123.960,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist El Valle De México sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von August Löhr, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
