Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Piaos by Atul Bhalla. The price achieved of HKD 54,000.00 (€ 5,141.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Atul Bhalla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yamuna morning IV, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 16,390.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piaos von Atul Bhalla zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 54.000,00 (€ 5.141,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Atul Bhalla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yamuna morning IV beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 16.390,93) versteigert wurde.
