In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work A joyful moon by Atsushi Kaga. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 478,800.00 (€ 56,184.82), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Atsushi Kaga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Breakfast in January in May this year with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 302,049.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A joyful moon von Atsushi Kaga zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 56.184,82) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Atsushi Kaga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Breakfast in January im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 302.049,93).
