Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Target, Dilli Dilwalon Ki series by Ashim Purkayastha. It changed hands for a price of HKD 114,000.00 (€ 10,855.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 95,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ashim Purkayastha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work He Is Not My Enemy in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Target, Dilli Dilwalon Ki series von Ashim Purkayastha zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 10.855,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 95.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ashim Purkayastha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit He Is Not My Enemy im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
