Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Marguerite in the church by Ary Scheffer for EUR 7,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ary Scheffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De George Washington, D'Après Gilbert Stuart in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 265,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Marguerite in the church von Ary Scheffer für EUR 7.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ary Scheffer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De George Washington, D'Après Gilbert Stuart im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 265.000,00.
