Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work En El Estudio Del Pintor by Arturo Michelena. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,874.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arturo Michelena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Firma Del Acta de La Independencia in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 688,000.00 (€ 518,814.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit En El Estudio Del Pintor von Arturo Michelena zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.874,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arturo Michelena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Firma Del Acta de La Independencia im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 688.000,00 (€ 518.814,57).
