Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Pair Of Drawings: Calle Los Teques And Mono by Arturo Michelena for USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,084.83). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arturo Michelena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Firma Del Acta de La Independencia in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 688,000.00 (€ 518,814.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Pair Of Drawings: Calle Los Teques And Mono von Arturo Michelena für USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.084,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arturo Michelena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Firma Del Acta de La Independencia im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 688.000,00 (€ 518.814,57).
