Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Arthur Siegel was sold in the Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago auction at Phillips in New York in October 2014. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,995.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Siegel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study Of Negative/Positive Profiles, Vers 1937 in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Arthur Siegel wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Photographs from the Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.995,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Siegel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study Of Negative/Positive Profiles, Vers 1937 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
